Mark & Bina at POM
We’re the team behind POM – a small market garden on the Lizard and vibrant Shop & Deli in Porthleven, Cornwall. Mark has been growing organic veg for years using a no-dig method that puts soil health first. Bina brings it all together in the kitchen, making colourful, soul nurturing food.
Our name, POM, is short for pomegranate - a fruit that symbolises love and fertility. Everything grown by us is picked just down the road and delivered to your door. We offer weekly food boxes filled with seasonal veg to baked goods and produce by local makers and growers we know and trust. We also supply fresh produce to local restaurants.
Food Box Deliveries: Every box offers overwhelmingly seasonal, organic and/or local produce. Relax and have us create a box for you (just subscribe to the boxes you want) and/or you can make your own. Have fun going through our online shop. It's packed with our favourites- organic teas, pantry staples, organic and local wines, cheeses and meats, bakery goods and much more!

We started POM to bring people closer to their food - how it’s grown, cooked, and shared. For us, it’s about more than convenience. It’s about care, connection, and learning. At POM, we are committed to promoting and embodying ‘Land Sovereignty’ which is the right of individuals and communities to have effective access to, use of, and control over land, including its benefits, and to understand land as a resource, territory, and landscape.
Part of this involves a continued commitment to ethical practices which includes working closely with local small-scale growers in Cornwall and we also believe we have an ethical duty to think about and respond to issues that are happening for growers globally. POM supports the resilience of Palestinian and South Asian communities through fair trade. We stock Zaytoun products, organic ethically sourced tea and much more.

Where You Can Find Us
On Monday, we're at St Ives Farmers Market. Then we head back to POM Market Garden on the Lizard Peninsula to create beautiful food boxes which we deliver to your doorstep for either Wednesday or Thursday. We're at our POM shop over the weekend in our converted shipping containers in the centre of Porthleven. We endeavour to grow, source and cook food that’s better for us and better for the planet.
